This tripod is the best adjustable height tripod available and usually sells for well over $1000 new.
It would be perfect for anyone wanting to upgrade from their lighter 8"/10" model tripod or other lesser tripods.
With my 12"LX200GPS and with the tripod sitting on the Meade vibration isolation pads the damping time was about 0.5 sec - incredible! I was regularly able to effectively view in quite windy conditions.
