Update

I have been asked a few questions which I have quickly researched and provide the answers for any who may be interested in buying this truly beautiful little telescope.

Brand New Price
It has been asked why I paid $2244 for this brand new unit when the Sky90 is listed at $2k on the Tak Australia site. The answer is that it is not a brand new unit which they have for sale but 2nd hand. The Takahashi Sky90 was discontinued in 2013 and the very last brand new unit they had in an unopened box was this one which was purchased for $2244 in March this year.

Price Comparison
In view of the aforementioned clarification I hope anyone interested can appreciate that it is a comparison between a 2nd hand SKy90 OTA only for $2k or this one for $2,200 which also includes another $1000 worth of accessories which make a dramatic difference to the performance of the telescope. Please keep in mind that as the Sky90 has been discontinued finding some of the accessories are not so easy anymore

Condition Comparison
I am sure the other Sky90 is in very good condition as well but I feel one very important attribute of this one for sale has been overlooked. As already indicated I purchased and placed on this Sky90 an objective lens shield as soon as it came out of the box. Consequently, this means the lens has been perfectly protected and in metaphorical terms untouched by the night air.
