Hi Guys,
It's been so cloudy up here every night for ages so last night when it was clear I decided to set my gear going, even though the moon was washing everything out. I'm actually surprised at how it turned out in the end, but took a lot of work to remove the moon glow and get an actual picture. I have attached two versions because I need some help as to which is better, neither is perfect by far but slightly different colour balance.
Image details: 22 x 120secs @ ISO 800 using the gear in my signature.
As always any tips or pointers would be much appreciated.
Thanks.
You ripped it again Rex. I prefer the first one; the second one seems to
contain some of the dreaded green. Are they crops, or EP projection?
Incidentally, it looks like a grumpy cat with it's head cocked to one side.

Thanks guys for the encouragement and you have confirmed it for me. I too like the first one. Like i said i worked hard at this one and after such a long time starring at the same picture i lost the plot and wasn't sure if what i was doing was improving it or makeing it worse. Usually when that happens i walk away and comeback to it, but having to go back to work tomorrow i was a little short on time. Thanks for the input.
Sorry Raymo, yes both crops. I dont have an eyepiece projection dohicky so i always do prime focus. Next item on my list is a 2" barlow so i can do some galaxy shots on occassion.
Thanks Rex; I'm in a similar boat, have an EP projection adaptor, but my
scope won't come to focus with a barlow with any of the adaptors I've got.
