Horsehead in Ha

First real effort with my Atik 11000 and the Alt Az EQ6 mount... What a dream to use! The polar alignment function is so easy and accurate. Thanks Astropete in Brisbane, Australia!

Nice shot for a first timer. You need one of these to flatten the curvature of the the telescope you have.

Your guiding looks like it was good as the stars in the middle are nice and round, it's just you field isnt very flat. The item above will give you nice round stars across the whole field.

cheers.

Oh and buy a spacer set as well as you will need to experiment with different distances from the chip to the flattener.

You insert one of these in between the camera and the flattener until you get round stars across the whole image.

Cheers.

Lots of nice Ha in there. Thumbs up to Astro Pete as well. That's where I got my ED100 from.
