Stockport SA Star Party

Hi Guys,

I would like to invite all of you along to a Star Party which will be held at Stockport observatories on the 26th of August, 2006. I will hopefully be going, weather permitting so meeting you all would be great. I usually hang out on the lower pad near the 18" scope's dome. Which is the first one as you enter the gates.

If you can make it that would be great.

Anyone who is a member can actually go observing on the 19th of August (this weekend) I will be going up to try out my scope.

Not this time mate. My life is pretty much limited to nothing but sleeping and working at the moment. I hope the skies are clear for you

Stockport is still on tonight if anyone is interested, being science week members of the public will attend anyway.

Hope the skies were clearer up there Andrew.

I had the best intentions of going tonight as I really enjoyed it last year. (Very limited viewing, although, when the skies cleared very briefly, it was pretty dark and from memory some very good observing targets viewed).

The grand kids were all prepped as were their parents, (for once), but unfortunately with the overcast conditions majority ruled out. The parents went out. The kids stayed over.

It did clear up Ken, after everyone had left hehe... Myself, and two ex members of IIS (Rumples Riot and Exfso) stayed back to do more observing but conditions worsened again so we called it quits.
