Barlow lens quality

When looking at buying a Barlow lens do I have to worry about the quality very much. Can a cheap quality Barlow make an image with good quality eyepieces worse?

Simple answer Janet, If you have budget eyepieces, most Barlows will do an adequate job. If you have high quality EPs, you definitely want a high
quality Barlow to do them justice.
