I had a go at planetary imaging using my Celestron C8 and QHY5L-II colour camera.
i encountered 2 problems:
first i couldnt adjust the green saturation bar and it was always stuck at about 50% and the subsequent image was purple in colour.
Secondly i could actually see the black lines that separate the pixels in the final image after stacking in registax and applying some wavelets.
Has anyone come across this before and does any one know how to overcome these issues?
I am at work at the moment and will post up a photo of saturn and mars showing these problems later on.
Hey guys.
Raymond I only get these pixels like this when I use this camera no matter how much I overdo the wavelets.
Dunk I will try to see if debayering is possible and I will try your suggestion the next time the weather permits. Sydney has been horrible weather wise lately.
