M45 - From New Mexico

Another M45 - this one was taken using the iTelescope service.

About 1 hour each of RGB and 2 hours of Lum. Taken with a Tak FSQ106 and STL11000.

For some reason there is nasty blooming in G and some less severe blooming in B. I used the Star Halo Reducer script in PI to remove them. There also were some nasty white pixels in the flat used for calibration of the Lum - I had a go at Cosmetic Correction which removed most but not all of the black spots in the finished image.

Comments welcome

Pete

Very nice, Pete. Shame the calibration files weren't better.

Thanks for your comments guys.

It's dangerous seeing what a difference a remote site can make. A move to the bush is likely to be expensive.
