1.25" or 2" Barlow

Is there any point buying a 2" Barlow if my 2 lenses are 1.25?

It will be one of the Bintel ones, the 2" one is pretty much twice the price but doesnt bother me if it is much better.

Getting the 2" gives you flexibility as they come with a 1.25" adaptor. Have not used the Bintel ones so cannot comment on quality, but I am not a big fan of barlows anyways!!

Adam, A 2" barlow is not any better optically than a 1.25" one. It is
just that many observers eventually get some 2" eyepieces, so why
buy 2 barlows, when the 2" with it's 1.25" adaptor will work with both
sizes. If of course you don't ever intend to get any 2" eyepieces, then
just get a 1.25" one. I personally strongly recommend that you get at
least one low power 2" [say 30-40mm Superview]. They give a truly
immersive experience, like looking through a window.

I have ordered the 2" Barlow. Some more eyepieces are next on the agenda. I have a 10mm and 25mm at the moment that came with the scope, when I get some extra cash will need to start researching on what is next. I will put the 30-40mm Superview on my list.

Yep go wide and get a 2" Barlow. Then you can use an adapter for you 1.25". The wide angle will allow you to get the wide angle awesomeness and when you use the Barlow it lets you narrow down a bit. I have been thinking of the same myself.
