This is an Ha - LRGB combination from my 10" starfinder, QSI 683 and Losmandy G11. Despite some high level cloud and smoke in the city, I finally managed to banish whatever demons were infesting my RA drive. A combination of worm adjustment, running PHD on a separate laptop and more frequent re-focusing seems to have done the trick.
LRGB subs are all 5 minutes, the Ha were 15 minutes, and there's an hour on each filter.

Copy that Jo, I to like the deeper background galaxies showing up next to a local one it gives a feeling of the extreme proportions of the universe. Go the diffraction spikes and fast newtonians.

I'm a big fan of galaxies no matter how often they are imaged. I personally have done 253 about ten times and I like compare the improvements over the years. I find it a great yard stick to see if I'm getting any better. (sometimes worse)

As for mounts issues, I feel your pain, my ATM Horse Shoe has given me a few headaches over the years of construction and refinement, but now it is pointing and tracking beautifully, so the pain wasn't without reward. And now astronomy is again a truly enjoyable and relaxing hobby for me.

Great to see your setup is now a decent digger in the sandpit of stars.

Great result Andrew and I can feel some relief in your words there Probably looks slightly brown on my screen, maybe up the blue? ...and I caaaan't see the jet either

Thanks Mike - yes, very relieved to finally see the mount working again after 6 months of frustration. There are some interesting structures in the middle of the disk that seem to sick up at right angles to the galactic plane, but no jets ,

Thanks for your kind words - I've built one GEM in the past using Holden stub axles, and there is absolutely no way I would consider building an ATM imaging mount - way beyond my engineering abilities! Massive respect!

Nice one Andrew, I have some doubts about the overall chromatic balance but it looks quite pretty never the less
