Melotte 15 in Hubble palette

Here is the latest from a nice 3 day stretch of clear nights! The AT8RC/Losmany G11 is not a user friendly combo but I am slowly getting things dialed in.
Melotte 15, a star cluster in the center of the Heart nebula in the northern constellation of Cassiopeia.
Imaged from Ocala, Florida
3 hours Ha (binned 1x1)
2 hours and 20 min OIII (binned 1x1)
2 hours and 20 min SII (binned 1x1)
PS CS5
AT8RC
QSI 683 wsg-8
Losmandy G-11 with Gemini II

Very nice, Steve! Great to see a different view of the Heart Nebula. I'm not fond of magenta stars but that's a personal preference.

Thanks Rick. My next project to learn is how to add RGB stars to this data to loose the magenta.

Either buy a farm away from the city lights and deal with the remoteness and difficulty of getting time to use it or go narrow band and massage the colour balance.

Non astronomer people out there could you please get better lighting and or turn off the outside illuminators when no one is there to use the light.

But I must say the gear these days is making either option easier. Bigger light buckets and better cameras. But then there is more targets to choose from.

Great image by the way, the dust detail does get my attention.

John, the Ha was assigned Green, SII Red and OIII was assigned Red per the Hubble palette.
