Nebulosity, thoughts?

I have a Meade DSI camera which I have not had the chance to try out yet. I am running a Mac and Nebulosity looks like a great software package to use.

Anyone here bought the software and is it worth the $80?

I have the Snake Valley camp coming up next week and I want to know if it is worth buying the full version because the free version compresses videos or something.

well worth getting if it supports your camera and OS. slick and easy to use and it interfaces with PHD to allow dithering.

+1. That's the only program I ever used to capture.

Its not a free version its just a demo version lol, there's all lines through your images if you haven't got a license. Well worth the money for $80 its a bargain and also the fact that its one of few apps that's runs on osx natively its a must for mac users who don't want the hassle of vm's and are to lazy to dual boot. You won't regret spending $80 on it that's for sure and you will have a good time with your dsi with it to.

+2 , Great software, I mainly use it for processing images as I use Backyard EOS for capture, but it rocks. I don't like buying software but this is great, it's a no brainer.

BTW, cables posted yesterday.

Thanks for all your feedback!

I am hoping to properly test it out this weekend.

+3 for this happy mac user. In fact were it not for nebulosity I probably would have given up trying AP on the mac.

Nebulosity is simple and effective. The stacking methodology is different to others, but VERY simple and surprisingly accurate. I also like some of it's processing algorithms.

It's not overflowing with "select 50,000 different options" for the one process, but it does what it is meant to do.

You can use Nebulosity, without paying for a licence, to test whether it works with your camera. It will put lines or similar onto the images. If it works buy the licence as it is well worth the $80.00. Also, any issues you have are generally fixes quickly.
