I've been toying with the idea of buying a UHC filter to help combat the sky glow I get from the street lights to the North and West. Finally took the plunge and ordered it earlier this week. A Prostar UHC-S from Steve at MyAstroShop. http://www.myastroshop.com.au/produc...p?id=MAS-001B2
I was suitably impressed with the quality of the build as well as it's performance.
Processing was a bit of a learning curve. Trying to get the colour balance right was challenging.
Nice pic JJJ. The neb looks great, the stars look a bit blue?
Justin, the CLS filter is a problem in moonlight. Moonlight sky is bluish and the CLS which is already blue biased only makes it worse. I find the Baader Semi-apo filter to be useful as it clips some of the blue spectrum, or even a plain light yellow filter.
