A fairly quick 47 Tucanae

While I was delving around the SMC I couldn't resist a shot of 47 Tucanae which I haven't imaged in a few years. This is only a fairly short exposure of 45 minutes for each of L,R,G and B with the RGB used for synthetic luminance.

Cheers

Steve

Great image scale for such a tightly compressed glob. Looks pretty ace

Great resolution Steve but if you allow a constructive critics I would work a bit on the gamma (in particular the high lights) and color balance, IMHO the dynamic is a bit too compressed and the overall look is a bit dark and yellowish, lacking of "energy"

Clear skies

Yeah nice huh?Amazing cluster that...only thing I'd suggest though is to brighten that very inner core, it should be brighter than the rest of the cluster not dimmer

Nice work none the less

Mike

Thanks for the feedback Mike. I processed this pretty quickly and I'll have another look at it.

Thanks Marco. I think a bit of tweaking is definitely in order.
