Could not resist as it was so clear and cold took sixteen frames of the Lagoon and Trifid with better framing.

What a stunning image of an incredible region of our Milky Way. Wow - there is so much to look at here, quite extraordinary. The full size blew me away on my 1600 x 1200 LCD monitor, and I still had to use the scroll bars.
The original 15M must be a gem to stumble around in!
Love shot there Bert, such a wide field for a 300mm lens . See the faint coloured nebula under the Lagoon? Thats the colourful shot Photoncollector took http://www.iceinspace.com.au/forum/s...ad.php?t=11205

Because of the weather etc decided to try more processing on this image. Shows that it is worthwhile adjusting all the parameters in IP at the digital development stage even when the contrast looks low. I used PS to adjust levels and curves. Here is the latest result and most probably not the last.
