Lagoon to Swan & Belt of Orion

Here are my last two Ha panels from Ilford. Same rig, QHY9 - SMC Pentax-M 100mm lens stopped two down.

Only 9x10min for Orion and I reckon half of that was in the twilight so a little on the noisy side. Sagittarius is also 9x10min but it's way higher and a lot brighter.

I've got a bigger Orion here [1.75MB] and a bigger Sagittarius field here [1.9MB].

That's it for the Ha. Now for some color.

Great looking monochrome photos Marc.

These are your best from the Wiruna trip.

Love the Orion photo.

Thanks Sandy. There are heaps of various models on eBay. Most lenses have to be stopped down 1 or 2 stops. If they're heavy a set of tube rings in front will take off the weight. Focus by the number then stick a bit of electrical tape on the side of the lens so focus doesn't move. There's really no focus shift with short FL lenses. Very negligible. For dew, crack a 'hotties' heat pack, wrap it in a sock and cover the lens. No power required and that will last you all night.
