I am looking for a medium to heavey duty wooden tripod for a new project I am look at starting any condition is fine as I am willing to repair it if need be, no scope wanted with it, just the tripod.

There is a local hardware store here which sells some nice Chinese surveyors tripods for $80. Very sturdy and very good value. If you let your fingers do the walking and look around Melbourne at tool and hardware outlets you might find something similar.
