Clear skys - Quick get outside!!

School day today, but the first time we have had some nice sky for about a month so I went out last night! (My earlier rant here ;-). While good things are still possible in sub par conditions it's great to have some clear sky.

Inspired by Matt's "Good Shepard" post, I set out for some darkness.
Now I just need to find a special foreground!.

I have seen some posts recently with the blue sky tint - I like the brown better (because I think it's more natural) - but I do like the cooler colours! I'm torn!!

Nice work Michael, the shots look great. I do agree the first looks a little too cool for me but its all personal taste with white balance.

I know how you feel about wanting to get outside, I keep looking at the forecast waiting for a break in the clouds and no moon down here.

The reflection of the southern cross in the water in first shot is great.
Do you have a spotlight/torch maybe a bit of light painting in the foreground would help balance the shot a little better. Although I know it can be tough to evenly light paint a large area

Nice photos Michael.

I love the subtle reflections and composition of the first one.

Ross.
