First Light Cal-K and Prom comparision.

Still crappy conditions but managed to have a go with my new Cal-K filter.
Only a few hundred frames due weather but looks promising.
First Prom is the DMK51@3x Bar. Then the ZWO 120mm- 1 is 960 x 960,
2 is 640x480 and 3 is 640x480 2x Bar.
I know which will be my primary prom camera from now on.

Very nice and crispy Cak shot Ralph. The higher res prom shot well worth the capture despite seeing. I sent my ZWO back a few months ago because of newton rings issues.

Yes I saw That on one of your posts.
I really only got the camera for prom work. This is really the first time I have used it in combat. Asi recons it is not too bad for the rings and can be corrected. The DMK 51 is pretty bad as well. More than likely that's all I will use it for. We will see once I get a good handle on it.

Nice and sharp CaK images. I looks like your new toy is working perfectly. What capture program are you using?

Nice work digger.

You only get the rings with the DMK51 barlowed though yes? In which case it's the Barlow.

Yup. Tilt that ZWO just past 5 degrees & the rings say seeya.

Thanks Ralph, what about the capture software with the new camera?

John, I must be lucky, I've never got the rings with or without the the Barlow, maybe I have sloppy fittings and get just enough title not to show them?

It's hit & miss George. I've heard of bad rings with the camera I use (DMK21AU04) too, but there's not a sign of them in mine. That's with all 3 barlows I have as well.
