Well, this bad weather is my fault, my new scope arrived yesterday
I got the 12" GS-980 ASDX from Andrews Communication. Haven't seen any recent reviews of this scope on here so heres a few thoughts about it.
I ordered it tuesday morning and it arrived wednesday afternoon! I have never had anything arrive that fast. There were a couple differences between what i got and the ad on their website. Mine came with a black base, the pic shows it as white, and it came with 4 gso super plossl eyepieces. 6mm,9mm,15mm,25mm. The ad didn't mention the 6mm.
It didnt come with any form of instructions that i could find in the packaging and having never owned or used a dob before had to have a quick look at the pic on their website to suss out how it should come together. With a bit of basic problem solving it's quite easy to put together.
Apart from the smooth 2 speed focuser that should make things much easier i can't comment on performance yet because of the weather, but one thing i can say, this thing is huge. People said they were big, and i saw a few different brand dobs in a shop, but when its in your home it is bigger lol.
But so far from my experience, Andrews Communication are great people that i won't hesitate to buy from in future.
