M83 Pin Wheel Galaxy

Well after months of crap weather here in Brisbane we have had some clear skies this weekend

Here is my first real attempt after dabbling in between the clouds at a galaxy. Just over 2.5 hours of data here with a flats, bias and not enough darks.

A mix of 30 and 60 second subs at ISO1600 with the good old 450d. Had a try at 120 second but with the moon at 70% there was just to much light pollution. Also due to the fact I am still learning I was at F6.3 rather than F10.

Thanks for looking

Carl
