ASTRO 40D + More

Hi all,
Selling my Central DS modified ASTRO 40D DSLR camera.
http://www.centralds.net/cam/?p=2588

Great camera which I just don't use anymore as I have drifted out of the hobby.

Modification performed Nov 2010. Camera has been packed away unused since May 2012.

Great performer...drops to around 20º below ambient.
Check out some of the pics in my signature below to assess its performance...I've posted a couple of widefield Horsehead nebula pics in HaRGB and Ha to give some idea of this camera's capabilities (images comprise 10 min subs @ iso1600).

Included in sale are all items pictured below.
These include...

Central DS modified 'Astro" 40D DSLR (protective seals still on LCD panels)

Kingchrome 'Pelican-style' hard case

Digital Thermometer and connector lead

Genuine Canon AC power supply for camera

AC power supply for ExoCooler unit

2x DSLR batteries (1xCanon, 1x Generic)

USB lead (from DSLR/Cooler to computer)

Also included...

Kendrick 2 channel Dew Remover

2x 3" dew straps (perfect for lens and guidescope)

AC power supply for dew remover

Battery attachment leads / extension cables.

All working and are in good condition.

Looking for $1000 O.N.O for package *price includes postage in Australia.

Thanks for looking...feel free to fire me any questions

Doug Robertson

Doug,

If the mod was done in 2010, was it done on an older camera, or did you buy the whole thing complete from centralds?

When it cools to 20 degrees below ambient, does the sensor stay at a stable temperature even during long exposures?

Also on the central ds website for the camera it says permanent anti-dew system applied. Do you have 2 dew heaters on it?

Thanks

Andy
