Celestial Dance

NGC3227 Arp94 is a spiral galaxy that has an active super massive black hole in its core. It is interacting with a dwarf elliptical galaxy (NGC3226) resulting in the faint loops, arcs, and star streams that shows the path of the cosmic dance.

Dodging the bright nearby star in Leo was a bit of a challenge.

Thanks for taking the time to look,

Kindest Regards,

A beautiful and interesting image as always Ken! Striking detail too, given the small size of this object!

Cheers, Marcus

Ken,

A Beauty !

Very interesting new star forming region that seems detached from the main Galaxy - seems to be at the branched intersection of the two upper left right star streams.
Might be worthy of an identification in its own right.

Cheers

Fantastic galaxy image Ken. You can easily see the path that orbiting galaxy has taken. Great processing as well.

Greg.

Amazing looking galaxy, very nice job. Hard to imagine the time scales involved in creating such a complicated remnant....
