Nice image Martin! Interesting object too. I didn't recognise it but then googled and found it's also called the Pencil Nebula which rang a bell, and it's Vela location of course .. so must have seen it in wider field pictures of the area.

I went hunting to see if I have an image of it, and it seems my Project NGC got a shot of it in Feb 2008. Attached. This is 10 x 30 seconds and shows some detail for such short exposure but nothing near yours of course (ignoring the wonderful colour you have). What exposure times did you use for yours?

It's a reasonably large object too, I'd need many FOV to capture it all myself. Maybe when I get a bigger camera sometime.

Thank you Glen
It would be awesome to image this one with a 16" scope.

It may be tough in LRGB to catch them.

Thanks Greg

Thank you Roger, with your rig it looks like you need a panel of 8 to 10 and lots of time/clear night's.
I used 300 Seconds RGB binned2 and 600 second Lum at bin1, Lum 15X and RGB 10X each.
