Last chance to register your interest - i'll be placing an order with Quasar Astronomy in the next few days and because IIS is a new bulk order customer, I need to pay in advance.

So please make sure your intention is genuine as I will need you to pay for your copy and PM me your address for postage once I've put in the order. While I think it's a great book, I'm not keen on having 30 or more copies of Astronomy 2006 sitting on my bookshelf at home

I'll get back to you with costs in the next day or so. They'll be available in November.

The price is likely to be $23 posted to your door. The RRP is $24 and you'd have to pay extra for postage.

Some of the bulk order discount is passed onto you, and some is put towards the running of the forum.

Will confirm costs once I check with the post office and have placed the order.

Sounds great Mike.... happy to help meet costs for this great site.

I use the star maps too, but find them not comprehensive enough in terms of star mags shown - really good to find your way around naked eye, but once you start off with binos and especially a scope it falls down. I think the mag 7 star sharts free at cloudy nights are better for this....
But saying that my Astronomy 2005 is pretty manky now, with dew/dirt/dog slobber from my observing nights, I never leave home without it!
