Hi Elusiver,

Gary Kopff here from Wildcard Innovations. I just wanted to take the
opportunity to clarify a couple of points.

Our web price assumes your are buying an entire system. We recommend
emailing us at sales@wildcard-innovations.com.au for a quote on
discount shipping if buying individual components, such as encoders
and cables.

For example, Insured Registered Mail to Melbourne for Qty 2 Optical
Encoders can be provided for only A$10.00.

When comparing prices, be sure to compare apples with apples.

For example, we stock 5000-step small body and 10,000-step large-body
encoders for A$88.26 each fully inclusive of GST (purchasers outside of
Australia do not pay GST, in which case the price is only A$80.23).

The US Digital price on the same parts F.O.B Vancouver, Washington is in
fact US$57.82 (approx A$75). However, when buying parts in this way
you should also consider on top of that price you will need to add for
FedEx freight charges (US Digital do not ship via the postal service),
Australian Customs Service electronic entry charges and Tradegate
charges and finally GST on top of all that (including on the parts, the
freight and on the Tradegate fee). These additional costs can see your
landed cost on a pair of encoders from the US costing as much as
A$138 each or more. Then on top of that, in the unlucky event that the
part fails, you need to ship it back to the United States as opposed to
mailing it back to Sydney for warranty replacement.

Best Regards

Gary Kopff
