An EQMOD page on the various run-time errors:
http://eq-mod.sourceforge.net/faqs/runtimeerrs.html

Which reminds me there is a perfectly good built-in backup facility for the ini I never seem to use....

An update!!
Turns out all my issues are the result of a faulty EQDIR module. Have purchased both the USB2EQ5 cable and the BT2EQ5 module from Shoestring that arrived yesterday and by golly it all works. Can control the Sirius mount either with cable or with Bluetooth ( I like to have backup options as I have a backup laptop but it doesn't have Bluetooth, so covering all bases!)
I is quite satisfying getting to push a button on the lappy and see the mount move!!

Thanks for all the advice guys!!

Malcolm

Hi Malcolm,
Have you tried Win 10 with other programs?
I am thinking of getting a win 10 laptop but not sure if the following programs will work
1. Stellarium scope
2. Stellairum
3. EQMOD (sorted)
4. Backyard EOS
5. Maxim DL
6. Image Plus
7. PHD

Bo

W10 works fine with Backyard EOS, Images Plus (I have only used the processing part not the camera control part), PHD and now EQ Mod.
I tried Stellarium and it worked fine and could control the mount via the handset, but haven't yet used it with EQMOD, but cannot imagine there would be an issue.

Cheers

Malcolm

Hi Bo,
I've had 1-4 +7 all working with Windows 10 plus more (CDC, image processing etc.), no dramas with any compatibility connecting via serial or usb all playing happily with ASCOM.

1. Stellarium scope
2. Stellairum
3. EQMOD (sorted)
4. Backyard EOS
5. Maxim DL
6. Image Plus
7. PHD
