I am in the market for a new camera. I have an ORION Colour 11 and its a horrid little thing. The idea of a cooled camera is very appealing. There seems to be some interest about these cameras, are they a good camera? I am looking at the colour cooled camera around the $1 k

They've just come out just after Christmas, and the lucky people who did manage to do some imaging with them so far have produced amazing results, especially for planetary imaging. They're good value for money so around $1K will get you a cooled mono or colour one.

Yes, the cooling is built into the camera.

I haven't uploaded the cooled versions to our webstore yet but will do so today. Meantime we do take phone orders.
