Well done folks, great images there all.
Yes, Tony, looks like youve found a Planetary, however, an unknown one, not even on Star Atlas pro, so it isnt in any of the catalogues, it does appear when using Star Atlas pro to generate a DSS image of the area. Ive also found it on my original image, heres a crop of the area. Its definately blue in colour

Hehehe I never thought suggesting this object would lead to the discovery of a new Planetary LOL. Its on the UKST HA survey images but NOT on their catelog. Heres a pic of it I got off their server

I've made another attempt at processing this. I think it's a little better, not sure though there's much more detail there. Interesting anyway. Same raw images.
Hi everyone,
here's is my entry for the September challenge and only my second ever colour image. I've still got heaps to learn but everything fell into place last so it was definitely more fun than effort.
NGC6563
LX200R 12" in Alt/Az (no wedge yet) with DSI II Pro and f3.3 focal reducer.
30 x 30s images in Luminescence.
30 x 30s each with RGB filters.
Processed with MaximDL (still learning that part)
I also observed it visually after imaging using averted eye technique which was a real buzz as at mag 14 I thought I'd be pushing it somewhat.
I hope it's in the eastern sky......and above 45 deg......I can't shoot through my house in the first instance or through the trees in the second Straight up and north and south ....that's me
