All jokes aside however, I went by this: http://www.damianpeach.com/pickering.htm last night. This is what I saw in the eyepiece (correlating with 1/10 seeing so to be fair, it was a 1/10).

Hi Lester

Nice shots, are you using a barlow and if so what is the focal ratio of your telescope/barlow combination.

Hi Anthony,

Focal length of the Meade 14" SCT= 3550

I nearly always use a Meade 2x APO barlow which brings it to 7100 mm focal length. So that is f20.

I have tried with short extention tube as well, but seeing conditions need to be at least 6/10 and Jupiter only just fits on the neximage chip.
