First deep-sky pics through the ED102

Managed to do my first (semi) successful drift-alignment for 20 years on Saturday night (following instructions posted on IIS) so I tried a couple of shots through the NG ED102 using a Pentax K-5.

Special thanks to Brad (zardos123) for lending me his field-flattener to test with:

First one is a single 40 second sub of Omega Centauri at ISO 2200. There's still some tracking error (the shots were unguided) but not too bad when the picture is reduced in size.
Second one is of course The lagoon - 3 x 40 second subs at ISO 2200 stacked in DSS. I'm still struggling with colour balance a little in PS.

Thanks for looking!

Gee mate, that Lagoon looks good for only three subs!

Looking forward to seeing some more pics when you've got everything sorted out.

Thanks for the encouragement Jo & Laurie.

I feel I'm making progress on the capture side of things but still feel a bit lost when it comes to the processing side.
