Some colour from the 2013 SPSP

Great three nights at the house. Had a good time and I was able to shoot a lot of color, nearly 20h actually so that was good. These are some panels I started to process last night for a big mosaic. Guiding is better on some than others but it should make a nice pano once all stitched. Heaps more to process.

All shot 10x5min with the 90mm APO at prime so 600mm FL and my old trusty QHY8. Still going.

There are big ones here [HD 1920].

M16 [3.22MB]
M8 [2.84MB]
M20 [3.25MB]

What's a star party without M8 right?

Thanks Steve. Little rusted doing RGB again. Will have to redo the high res. I think I went a bit heavy handed with the star reduction.

A great set of images Marc, nicely processed and with good detail in there. I always think the Trifid is such a beautiful nebula, it really has it all packed in a tight space.

Some nice images there Marc, you certainly made use of the clear viewing at SPSP . I attended as well, but I guess we didn't cross paths although I did have a walk up to the house and a brief look around there.

Thanks Rolf. The trifid is one of my better shots guiding wise as well. Was very happy with the panel. It is a beautiful nebula and the surroundins are also colorful and interesting. Not so much with M8 unfortunately shot the first night. Maybe transparency with smoke affected the guiding or my focus was a little out. Who knows?

Thanks David. I must have been on the other field eating burgers when you came down. Saw you pick up your prize though. Congrats.
