AR1726 ANZAC view

well i had a mini star party today - i had visitors in the form of Scott Alder, then Al Meehan.

it was a beautiful clear day until i open the shutter - then we had cloud form up - it eventually burnt off. the see was very average to poor. but during some good bits it looked great theoough the baader solar wedge. the only treat was watching live on the Lunt a prom explode and reform in real time - in 10 min it was all over - but i did record it

Nice and sharp David, with the solar granulation easily resolved.

Cheers

thanks Guys. Dennis you are far to generous in the accolade - the seeing was crud. your image is beyond the benchmark - someday i hope to get near it, but until the next blue moon i haven't got a hope

i forgot to say it was taken through the 127ED with the baader solar wedge using the ASI120mm camera. for this shot i had the camera cranking at 140frames a second - it was a burst of 5000 frames. i am glad i had Scott to witness that. we also witnessed the prom explosion live as well- might try to upload that to youtube. we were having fun with both white light and the Ha Lunt. i just wished the seeing was better
