Ezystyles...it's just called Siderail rate...it will automaticly choose this default rate anyway...if you were imaging/viewing the moon or sun you would then have to manualy change the siderail rate to Lunar or solar....but otherwise dont change anything it's the default setting anyway.
Thanks for your reply Tony. 16x 30 second shots plus processing= fantastic shot, congrats also to Houghy.
Tony, I haven't attempted stacking of any kind yet; the programs on our computer for photos are; Registax, Digital photo professional, Adobe photo shop elements 2.0, and Jasc Paint shop pro 8. Are you familiar with any of these, that would be good for processing and stacking astro photos?
Houghy well done mate, your images are getting better all the time and I must say that you are picking up an awesome amount of detail in a 30second exposure .

Thanks Louie for the complement, but I must say Tony deserves most for his processing
I think some shots were 40 seconds and some 1 minute but the majority were 30 seconds, I used the timer. the mirror up function makes a huge huge difference. But my thanks goes to Striker for his processing .
post note - there was also some crud on the glass coveringthe cmos, th filter when screwed in released some paint onto it. I think a seal is the way to go in future for any camera like this, to help prevent this
Well done Houghy and Striker. Gee doesnt the modded camera make all the difference.
How did you send Striker the RAW images, gee they would have taken up a lot of space, about 4 mb each arent they?
Scott
I forgot to ask, was dark subtraction done? I dont see any sign of amp glow so I assume it was?
Great shot, even the diffuse outer loop is visible

Tony kindly let me try to fill up his email account. I transferred nearly 60 meg i think

I didn't take a dark frame, but I don't know what Tony did on the processing end in that respect
Here's what I came up with from the three frames you emailed me Dave.
Best I could come up with.
Working in jpg's harder as you know cos you loose quality everytime you re-save an image.
Anyway not sure if you'll like it, but let me know either way.

I like that given the limited number you received, i got bounce back messages from your mail server rejecting the emails I was sending. I may have filled it up , but with what you got that is simply amazing. Please tell what steps you went through to get this excellent result
In total houghy sent me 14 jpeg + 2 raws....so in theory it could have been even better with all the raws...so I ended up doing the 2 raws seperately then combined all 16 Jpegs together at the end.
So make sure you capture in Raws Dave...we may have been able to get more of that faint detail next time.
Tony(Itchy)....I was listening....your tutorial was benificial for me and you know why.
