am, pm ????

Probably something really simple but can anyone tell me why post times are completely out?

I've been seeing posts that have only been placed on the forum in the last few hours showing up as being posted at 7, 8 or 9am (etc) this morn????

There's a clock somewhere that's very out of whack.

Geoff

Where would I find "user settings"???

I've never had to check them before coz they've never been a potential problem before.

The time zone's showing as 11+ GMT at the bottom of the forum homepage so I'm not sure what to make of it????????

If you see All times are GMT +11. The time now is ... at the bottom of the forum, it's AEDT. ie. Australian Eastern Daylight Savings Time. GMT+10 being AEST normally. So that's right for Canberra isn't it?

This confuses me too. Most of the time, the times are correct. But if I look at the new posts in the morning they are all screwed up. For instance, if someone posts something at 9:01am. In my "new posts" it says it was posted at 6:50 pm. ???????? Not terribly important, but very confusing sometimes.

That's it cj.

I find it a bit confusing too, especially when I'm figuring out which posts to read and which are old.

Coupled with that is the fact sometimes my screen shows all threads as read even when they're mostly new and unread, and some threads as new when I've already looked at them.

The time signature is helpful for keeping tabs on whether there's something new added to a discussion I'm interested in, beyond the coloured globe changing colours, which doesn't appear to be 100% reliable

Apperars to be a difference if you are logged in under guest as opposed to logging in under your own login.

Still it doesnt matter to me as long as I can see the various posts.
