14 inch f4.5 or 1600mm Truss Tube Dobsonian in great condition, recently repainted and refurbished, features a NEW Skywatcher main mirror purchased this year and a JMI motorized focuser with two speed hand controller and a 9 x 50mm finder scope. The main mirror is centre mounted and attached to a 10mm machined aluminum plate making collimation easy and stable, once collimated it stays there. Main mirror access is by a drop back construction so cleaning is easy. Construction is marine ply. This is an ideal scope for taking to dark sky sites, it breaks down into easily transported sections and is solidly built more like an old Land Rover than a prissy Range Rover. If you want to add extras, it’s been designed to easily fit an Argo Navis system and there is a cutout covered with a vent to fit a cooling fan should you want to.
