some sunnage of AR1525 with proms from The Doghouse 21 july 2012

well i desperately needed to test a new reducer i got from Steve from myastroshop. The weather has been very ordinary and this arvo i literally only had a sucker hole to get this between showers and cloud. Taken with the 60mm Lunt double stacked DMk41 with a prostar 0.5 focal reducer sitting pretty on a titan mount...... I only got 30 seconds worth of clear cloudfree skies.

Taken with IC capture (the one from Image source) and Autostakker 2 - then colourised in photoshop. Still learning

Anyway the main reason for this shot was achieved - i have the soft spot removed - it was a faulty reducer

Is it just me or is there a soft spot about a third of the way down?

Excellent news, great to be able to get the full disc and proms in one shot.

How did your issues with the back filter end up?
