Heads up giant sunspot today 13th july

Sorry no image because i can't upload from phone.

Is visible naked eye, through safety specs ofcourse.looks absolutely amazing.Have a look before sunset.

Enjoy the view.
Ps- would anyone know the size of this sunspot compared to earth .Im guessing severak times the aize of jupiter.

It has been quoted that it's 127,000km from each end which is about 10 Earths so that's pretty big.

Also yesterday it chucked an X class flare directly at us so for those of you lucky enough then be on the look out for Aurora on the 14th.

yeah i saw it yesterday. I managed to take a movie clip of it although the cloud kept passing. There might be some usable frames in there. It is a great sight to see. Massive.

I wonder how far up people will be able to see auroras.

Steve, you should post some pics, given your plane transit photo I am sure they would be amazing.

It is an amazing view.
