Went out to retrieve cards from trail cams late this afternoon, but took the 400 L out with me,the weather was gloomy, and not looking much good. But saw a pair of Nankeen Kestrals, and thought I'd have a crack at a few getting a few frames of the female bird as she flew around. Was fairly pleased with some of the frames-some bluish back ground sky and some sunlight would have been good.
Gear used Canon 400L and 50D,at 1/800 F 6.3.iso 400.
Thank you all who have left some feed back, its much appreciated-I've been in the field a bit lately, and its been difficult to get any sort or reasonable wildlife image, just not seeing as much at present, and when seen usually only quickly or light on wrong angle.Been trying to get some wild dog/dingo images-but it a real challenge. Here is a result from new trail cam I am testing. Its good that it has 'back flash'-no red glow,I got 14 frames of this dog and his mate at this site two weeks ago,the cam has been in the field ever since, and no more visits.Note how the dog is digging with its right paw-like humans-I've noticed their mainly right handed-useful information.
