Smile Wandering in Vulpecula (VdB126)

Dear Forum,
let me share with you this LRGB image of a not much photographed area in Vulpecula (a few references and images on the web about this area). The "main target" is the main complex reflection VdB 126, but being small it seems almost drowning in a sea of dark nebulae that surround it. In any case I think this field is quite attractive because of the color contrast between the reflection nebulas and the red/yellow starfield. Also, in the top left, you can distinguish the apparently young open cluster NGC 6793.

Link to technical data and higher resolution image: http://skymonsters.net/immagine.php?img=VdB126.jpg

Comments and criticism to improve my processing technique is more than welcome as usual.

Clear skies!

Its very good. The thumbnail though doesn't do it any justice. It'd be better to link to the hi-res version.

A good result. A bit short on total exposure so the image looks like its stretched a little bit too hard for the depth of the data. But round stars, nice colour - a lot to be happy with. Dust areas take the most amount of exposure time to get a vibrant deep image without noise.

Greg.

Thank you Greg, next time I'll link a less compressed image as first preview.
I agree with you regarding exposing for a longer time, dust gradients toward the sky background should be rendered smoother for a better 3d rendition.

That is a beautiful shot! Very nice colour and the dark nebulae stand out amoungst the dust. Like to see larger!

Hi Lucas, thank a lot. Isn't a 1600px wide image enough to see it clearly?
It's the first time I get a comment like this...

Hi Nicola,
My apologies. I thought that the picture on the link was labelled high resolution but when I clicked on the actual words "high resolution" then the larger picture appeared. That's what I wanted to see!! It's definitely the right size. Even more pleasing to look at now. Thanks for posting.
