Cat's Paw region (NGC 6334)

Taken with 110mm refractor and QSI 540 wsg over two nights at Wiruna last weekend. The pic is a mosaic of two images and total exposure was 7.3 hours.

Thanks all. I found this a difficult one to process. Bringing out the faint background stuff without blowing the main neb was quite a challenge. Still working on it.

Nice work Geoff....the background could benefit from some wide radius unsharp masking to help with contrast.

Don't forget to use an inverted layer mask Geoff.

Thanks Louie. This is not a technique I was familiar with but I checked it out and it looks pretty useful (and easy to use)
