Well I went ahead with it and placed my order and deposit on a Mach1
and Eagle6 pier . AP are estimating August delivery which is cool .
All going well I cant wait to bring it to IISAC
They're pretty easy to use. The only bit that confuses me from time to time is the meridian delay feature. It's explained in the manual, but I use it infrequently so I forget what to do. It only works when you drive the mount via the hand controller, so it's a problem if you're using the computer to swing to a plate solved image. If anyone knows of a solution to that problem, please let me know!
What a mistake!
I'm sure you'll be disapponted with it. Its a bit of rubbish really.
Because I'm the kind of guy I am, and hate to see anyone let-down, I'll give you 2K for it!!
Can't say fairer than that!.
It should be a fabulous mount that will give nice round stars which is what its all about - the first milestone is to achieve round stars. Which is not as easy as it sounds but the AP should make it a whole lot easier.
good on ya Peter sounds great , just dont worry if it happens to look like a Cgem no one will notice in the dark

I am hoping so Greg , I managed ok with 5min subs on the Cgem but it was hit and miss . I love the fact that it is actually lighter than the Cgem or G11
yet will carry the RC10" without effort and not to mention straight out of the box PE
