Great camouflage

Just back from another trip to the Daintree and I have been looking
for one of these guys to photograph for awhile now.
Leaf tailed gecko taken at night.

Nice shots! I hate those things, they come into our storage room downstairs and make the most horrible noise when you try and catch them to put them outside!

Hi Mark,

Thanks for posting the shots of these amazing creatures.

Like Mike, we get a species of the leaf-tail gecko indoors here as well in our corner
of Sydney and their ability to blend in with the mottled colours of the bricks is
incredible. However, unlike Mike, we are just happy to let them be as and you will
come back a few hours later and they will have moved on of their own accord.

And as Mike mentioned, if you do try and move them, they will scream!

If I get a chance, I will post some pictures some time.

I have not seen any of those round here ,but then again I dont get many Gecko's around here at all.

Some nice detail on the eyes on #1 there Mark. Hope to make it up to the Daintree sometime in the next year myself
