Ron I'm hoping to come out but to be honest with having to pick Tim up from Southport Friday afternoon, and dropping him home again Sunday, I've already got 8 hours driving packed into the weekend ..... I'm not quite sure how "frazzled" I'll be feeling.

I'll let you know....

I'm planning to stick my head in too Ron. Sounds like I'll have to set up on the road with the number of people there.

Hope to get there early to mid afternoon.

Have fun!

Hi Ron, unfortunately we're just getting organised now - will probably be there at 4 or so if all goes to plan!

What an awesome night indeed! Was great to meet everyone, and thanks for being a great host Ron! If I wasn't already hooked before, I think Omega cen through Ron's 16" sealed the deal for me (I suppose omega cen has that effect on a lot of people?? )

Also just noticed that APOD has a M51 supernova image.. just like yours Rob

Yes, must get the M51 pic together Ron - quite exciting to check out something new from last few days. I'm usually a bit tardy doing my processing afterwards, but will try to get to it tonight.

Thanks Jason - the APOD is interesting too - wasn't aware of that one. Bet they were excited when that turned up. Great to meet you and Shelley. Look forward to hearing more about how you both handle your new addiction. Best to give in and get regular fixes with the 10" Shelley wants I reckon

Here's a quick jpeg from a single frame we looked at last night.
I'll put it in the images section too for that matter for others that don't know about it.
