Brendan called yesterday afternoon and suggested that we go to Mt Coot-tha this morning. We met Terry Cuttle up there and a couple of other blokes.
Here is some of what I managed to grab and look at. First is the Moon just emerging from the clouds on the horizon and then a couple from later on. The last is Venus poking through the hight cloud that rolled in from the west just before sunrise.
Thanks Tom and Jeanette, pretty happy... until I see Terry's images
Yes, Terry pulled my a** out of the fire again as I forgot a wide egnough lens . I was also trying to convince Brendan to donate his 12" ota to me... But I am sure that it will be too heavy for the NEQ6.

I don't know about awesome, but I'm happy. I was using a range of iso's, Marc. I think that one was 800, hence the noise, but I'l have to check could still have been 1600). I had expected to see you up there, Stephen. You going up there on the 12th? You going to try for the 12th as well Liz? Not at Mt Coot-tha of course.
There are quite a few mornings to get out for quick piccie, 21st also looks good. Will certainly get out when I can, and we have a meteor shower peaking in the next 3 days between 4-5am so another reason!!
Sleep patterns up the creek this month!!
Thanks David, I will be trying to head up there again on the 12th. Its a Thursday so work is going to be an issue... I'll get there early I suppose. You game to come up?
I will probably do the same trick I did on the 2nd... Try to get there by 4:30. By 6:30 be heading down the mountain and looking for breakfast, unless I pack one.
