Guide Wheels

Does anyone know of any source for guide wheels. I've got a metal track coming for my little obs and have the U groove wheels for it but guide wheels are proving to be a hassle.

I mocked up what I want using a bracket and bolts from bunnings (c pic) but I'm off to get some angle tomorrow to make new brackets so I can drill to suit the wheels. The black guide wheel in the pic is 50mm O/D and about 25mm tall, but it's too tall.

Apart from roller blade wheels, does anyone know of a wheel that will do the job? Something closer to 10mm tall/thick with bearings would be good.

Since these guide wheels are not under any load, why do you need bearings? Seems unnecessary to me.

I wanna remove all points of resistance. Even without bearings they are hard to find. Roller blade wheels will probably be the go.

They are all way too thick for what I want Rob.

I tried to use these on my earlier version EQ platform but found them quite weak. They are quite small only designed for sliding doors which are a lot lighter than dome lids.

The only way around is to use a hell a lot of them.

Agreeded, but something in this vien is what I'm after. Bunnings do have a bearinged sliding door wheel that is 29mmx8mm with a 3/8" bolt which is close to what I want. HomeDome sell some wheels to suit but they are in the US. I got a set of roller blade wheels but they may still end up being too thick at 22mm

My problem is, the track that is being bent is shorter than I wanted by 5mm as they can't source 70mmx3mm flatbar, only 65mmx3mm. That cuts the space back by 5mm

I purchased mine direct from Rolltrack as they are based in Perth. Bunnings not carry all the wheels. Rolltrack do have sturdier wheels but get to be really pricey.

My new platform uses standard bearing now, allot more accurate and strong. I am also looking at a company called Dotmar as a source for some wheels and bearings too.
