waterfall in orion?

Has anyone managed to observe the waterfall in orion with a scope plus integrating videocamera? I have tried with mine on a 6" telescope integrating over a couple of minutes at maximum gain in a dark sky, but not a whisker. Compared to this, the Horsehead is a piece of cake.

I'm wondering just how dim this object is, and whether there is a list anywhere that gives some indication of the surface brightness of these very dim objects.
