That's a pretty damn good shot Asi for 1/10 seeing , not bad regardless! The skies cleared beautifully here is Brisbane, but a bit of wind and seeing pretty poor maybe 3-4/10. Took a few Gig's worth of avi in raw mode - having trouble focussing in this mode as it's all in B&W and I get some fuzz/speckling around the planet? - with my Synta 6in refractor and Neximage but haven't processed yet. Will post something later on today.

cheers,

Thanks guys. I'm addicted to imaging now! It's worse than drugs man! I can't remember the last time I looked thru an EP. Come to think of it, I don't use eyepieces any more!?

I've been getting focus by using a nearby star & taking a shot of it, & if it's not quite right, I do it all again. Then slew to mars/saturn.

That shot above is about 40 stacked frames out of 1500 or so. Apart from the grain/noise because of that it's ok I guess.

I've been stacking using registax 2 cos' the lappy is 800X600 maximum, & one thing I have noticed is when I transfer the final image from lappy to main computer, it looks totally different because the lappy has the LCD screen & the main puter not.

I'm going to invest in an external hard drive soon to transfer the AVI from lappy to main computer & do my processing in registax 3.

Cool Robert! I'm glad someone else is shooting using a 6" achro refractor apart from me!? Love to compare results with ya!!
