Orange Marmalade Skies

Sorry for the influx of photos of late. I've been bed-ridden as I've been a bit sick. I have nothing else to do.

Lake Wanaka and environs just prior to Sol making its way into the sky.

Slightly higher resolution here.

Canon EOS 5D Mark II, Canon EF 17-40mm f/4L USM
2.5s f/16.0 at 40.0mm iso100

Comments, critique, etc., welcome.

Very nice - wish it had been like that the night I was there - dull, grey and raining.

Friend and I went To Lake Wanaka many years ago, and still laugh when I think about it, as we called it Wanackackackacka.

Hope you get better soon - but you need to stay in bed for a lot longer because I'm enjoying your pics so much. I think another 5 days of bed rest and 5 more photos (at least) will be the prescription required for your treatment towards better health.
That is a stunning photo (as usual)! It would look fabulous enlarged and framed for a wall . You've captivated a haunting and mystic image (well, to me anyway). Don't forget, I know diddly squat about photography - I just love looking at them and within the detail. If I get captivated and drawn inside it, and see myself inside the pic exploring different nooks, then I know it has really gotten my attention and has spoken to me in a special way. This one gets my tick .
You should get some large digital albums done of your work (large coffee table book).

Odille,

Bugger! It was perfectly clear every single day I was there. I'm spewin' I didn't actually go out into the ranges and do some night time photography like Alex's beautiful images of late. Perhaps next time.
