Cassini and Amateurs Chase Saturn Storms

Hi All,

It's not every day that Australian Amateurs get recognition from NASA for their contributions.

When Bird became part of this endeavor I new his exquisite skills with planetary imaging would make a significant contribution to the task of tracking SED's related storms on Saturn.

That Bird is approx 1,000 km to the East of me has also been significant, whenever a SED's storm has been active one of us has been able to capture it so that we have been able to contribute a steady stream of data to the Cassini RPWS researchers.

There are other amateurs in our team in the Philippines, France and the Netherlands and this is a team effort, but I am very proud that Anthony and I are able to provide data of significant scientific value to this project on such a regular basis.
